Jiggy Drama presents Nerdside to the U.S.

Colombian artist Jiggy Drama presented his latest musical production 'Nerdside' in Los Angeles yesterday. The album is Urban Alternative music that goes on a trip through the genres of music that influenced Jiggy Drama.
Nerdside is a conceptual album made up of 15 tracks that from the first to the last, all tell the story of a Nerd that turns 'Cool', Jiggy Drama told Efe in an interview @ the Russel Harris Event Group in North Hollywood, CA.
"Musically I take a long journey thought the musical genres that I grew up with, this is why I define it as an Urban Alternative Record, it's not so underground to be considered Hip-Hop nor too commercial to be considered Reggeaetón"
Jiggy Drama was born in the Colombian Island, San Andrés in 1983, Hearton Lever Junior decided to change his name to Jiggy inspired by Will Smith's song "Getting Jiggy with it" and the he added to his name the word Drama, because he says that each of his songs is a dramatization.
People have gotten to know Jiggy thanks to the internet. Last year he posted the video from his song La Fuga which from word of mouth grew from hundreds to thousands and now over 15 million views!
Somebody who saw my video on youtube called Colombian Top 40 Radio Dj and requested the song, which he played directly from youtube on the air. Soon after people started calling to request the song all over the country. This prompted the radio producers to look for and schedule a meeting with Jiggy Drama where he aside from La Fuga, brought his other tracks La Flaka, El Culpable and Me Vale.
"Nerdside" is a co-production of "Akela Family" and "El Ritmo Records" the songs are now available on iTunes but the actual album will hit the shelves next month.
We @ TR3S named Jiggy Drama as the featured artist of the month on  'Descubre & Download' where La Fuga is the most downloaded song.
Jiggy Drama is currently in promotional tour in the U.S. where his first presentation will be on October 1st @ La Covacha Club in Miami.
Have you heard Jiggy Drama? What do you think of this new artist?

Beetlejuice 2 is back in the works!

Beetlejuice 2, Beetlejuice 2, Beetlejuice 2!  If we say his name three times Hollywood will make the sequel to the 1988 Tim Burton classic!
David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith's production company KatzSmith has just signed a two year first-look deal with Warner Brothers, and the first thing on slate for them is the long-awaited sequel to Beetlejuice, the 1988 Tim Burton-directed hit starring Michael Keaton as the title character, with Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin and a young Winona Ryder.
The  good news is that The film will not be a remake, the intention is to reboot it by advancing the storyline of the original. Grahame-Smith recently worked with Tim Burton on his current project, "Dark Shadows," so he's familiar not just with Burton's style, but with writing for beloved and spooky characters from our past. ("Dark Shadows" head vamp Barnabas Collins will be played Johnny Depp.)
Now a vast majority of Beetlejuice fans are not very thrilled about the ghoulish sequel. Beetlejuice is a cult classic film and was a pioneer in it's time in terms of special effects  and make-up, winning an Oscar for the latter. So the sequel comes with alot of hesitation and much expectation to not tarnish the Beetlejuice image.
In the 90's with the Beetlejuice-Mania still boiling, the sequel Beetlejuice goes to Hawaii was in the works with Burton coming back as Director, but thank God it wasn't made, that sounds like it would have been a huge flop!
So now, 23 years or so later the continuation seems a bit out of place. Will Michael Keaton still play Beetlejuice? Cause another actor would be hard to believe, It's gonna be tough to fill Bettlejuice's shoes!  Maybe a Remake would be a better idea than the Part 2?
Are you excited about the Beetlejuice sequel or do you think it's a bad idea?
